Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player in building, maintaining, and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will focus on automating everything from code deployment to infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response. This role requires a strong blend of development and operations skills, with an emphasis on cloud platforms, containerization, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. You will ensure our systems are highly available, resilient, and performant.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery from development to production.
- Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Implement and maintain containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for reliability, scalability, and ease of deployment.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the DevOps pipeline and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and networking fundamentals.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure management.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Required Technical Skills
- **Cloud Platforms:** AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- **Containerization:** Docker, Kubernetes.
- **CI/CD Tools:** Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- **Infrastructure as Code (IaC):** Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
- **Scripting Languages:** Python, Bash, Go.
- **Monitoring & Logging:** Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk.
- **Version Control:** Git.
- **Networking:** TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls.
