Job Description
As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and operation of highly available and fault-tolerant cloud services. You'll work on critical components of our platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security. This role involves architecting solutions for massive datasets, ensuring low-latency access, and integrating with various cloud-native technologies. You'll mentor junior engineers, drive technical initiatives, and influence the future direction of our cloud offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services using Go and Python.
- Develop and optimize distributed systems that handle high throughput and low latency requirements.
- Collaborate with product management to define technical roadmaps and prioritize features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to incident post-mortems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience in driving technical projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in Go (Golang) and/or Python for backend development.
- Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like EC2/VMs, S3/Blob Storage, Kubernetes/AKS/GKE, Lambda/Functions, DynamoDB/CosmosDB/Firestore.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts (consensus, consistency, fault tolerance, message queues).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and caching technologies.
